A huge thank you to Chris and his St. John’s RC Cathedral choir who very kindly allowed us to make a recording of them last week for use in the film. We flirted with failure when our laptop decided to go haywire but Richey soon had things up and running. What a wonderful sound. I’m looking forward to hearing the final mix.

In one of our interviews a 448th veteran describes sailing back to the United States after the war on the French ocean liner Il De France. I was able to find an old postcard of the ship from a collector via the internet. I also found this on the website of the New York Social Diary http://www.nysocialdiary.com/node/192455

Fascinating to think of all that this ship has seen.
